This project reimagines St Margaret’s Chapel at HOTA into a hyperreality Airbnb concept that blends comfort with cultural storytelling, offering guests an authentic, heritage-inspired “home away from home.”
This Airbnb concept, Heritage Haven, was developed to reconnect guests with the local community and culture by bridging the gap between hyperreality and authenticity. The project focused on the redesign of St Margaret’s Chapel at HOTA on the Gold Coast, transforming it into a space that immerses visitors in an authentic vision of Australia, a “home away from home.” Using Archicad, my design emphasises creating environments where guests can step outside the everyday and enter a curated realm of heritage-inspired hyperreality, blending comfort with cultural storytelling.
